The retreat takes place at The Milkwood, a private luxury estate in Pembrokeshire, Wales, set within the Nevern Valley, close to the coast. Surrounded by ancient woodland and open countryside, it is a calm and considered setting to step away from daily life and reconnect with yourself.

A blend of ancient practices and modern medicine creates a complete view of health, supporting body, mind and spirit. The retreat is a nervous system-led experience combining breathwork, yoga, sound baths, sauna, and cold therapy. These practices support the body’s stress response systems and help regulate physiological strain. Time in nature and restorative workshops are woven throughout the experience, alongside doctor-led blood testing and PRYSM iO antioxidant scanning on site.
TYPICAL DAY
Each day follows a thoughtful rhythm designed to support the body without feeling restrictive, balancing structured practices with space to rest, explore and recharge.
Mornings begin slowly with fresh fruit, herbal teas and lemon water, followed by daily yoga and breath-led practices, then a relaxed nourishing breakfast shared together.
Across the day, guests move between breathwork, workshops and restorative practices, alongside sauna and cold immersion, personalised treatments, and quiet time to rest or explore the surrounding nature.
Evenings centre around shared meals and gentle practices such as sound baths or guided rest, supporting deep rest and recovery.

CLINICAL HEALTH AND INSIGHT
A personalised clinical health assessment is included – offering insight into internal health and wellbeing.
During the retreat, guests receive a PRYSM iO antioxidant scan and a comprehensive blood test.
The PRYSM iO scan provides a snapshot of how the body is responding to lifestyle, nutrition and stress. Alongside this, the blood test looks at key areas including heart health, metabolism, blood sugar regulation, inflammation, hormones, thyroid function and nutrient status.
Results are reviewed after the retreat, followed by a Zoom consultation with Dr Becky Coates, along with a written summary of recommendations. Optional add ons are available.

ACCOMMODATION AT THE MILKWOOD
The retreat takes place at The Milkwood, a private luxury estate in Pembrokeshire, set within the Nevern Valley and surrounded by woodland and open countryside.
The estate spans four properties, with six ensuite guest bedrooms set across two cottages, including five king-sized rooms and one twin, designed for comfort, privacy and deep rest. Interiors are calm and minimal, designed to support restoration.

We created Nua Retreats after working in frontline and primary care, where we saw first-hand how effective holistic and preventative approaches can be, but how difficult they are to consistently offer within the NHS.
